Soph x eyeshadow pallet- Makeup Revolution

Hi guys ! I couldn't wait to review @Sophdoesnails eyeshadow palette ! Soph of you've never heard of her (which is bizzare If you haven't !) is a 20yr old blogger on YouTube who has just collaborated with Makeup Revolution to make her own eyeshadow and makeup palette ! Therefore, I've bought Both and want to review them for you guys !

This Palette is one of my faves ! It is very personal for Soph as she's added her own names to each colours which I love ! Firstly, lets start with the packaging ! obviously rose gold and pastel and autumnal colours are in trend this season and Soph has nailed the packaging on both products. Starting with the eyeshadow palette, the palette is a cream colour with Soph X written in rose gold on the front, it's a basic design but soo effective! I love the box it comes in as well as this is also personal . Soph is an art student so actually painted this design herself with watercolours (so proud of her). This palette is definitely one of the best Makeup Revolution have!

On the palette itself ! When I first opened the packaging I was soo excited to see it after watching her announcement on YouTube. The first thing that caught my eye when I opened it up was the range of different colours there was available! It's perfect for every skin tone (Which is perfect as I am pale of all pale) and colours that can be used everyday, special occasions and all year round. I have tested the majority of these shades, mixing mattes and shimmers together to create different eye looks (will include below) I am a massive fan of Sparks fly, Grow old, Pine tree and Festive flame ! (Just because they are sooo sparkly) It's hard to choose a fave as I Love all of the colours. This palette is also perfect for this season, being Autumn I have used a lot of the reds, beige, coppers, oranges etc with majority of my outfits as they go so well with the season. I will also use Danger, Pine tree, Mug cake and Copper coin a lot over the Christmas period as they scream CHRISTMAS !! (One of Soph's fave holiday).

Lets move on to the first impressions about this palette. As I said before I was so excited with the colour choice so decided to go for a natural tone look (I am not an MUA so just testing before I go in with the dangerous colours :P) I used Pancakes as a base which worked brilliantly on top of my eye primer and set the primer in place well by giving a very natural tone. For my crease I used the shade Cuppa tea as I wanted to gradually build up colour, this was very pigmented and easy to blend with I enjoyed using the colour and worked well for the look I was going for. For my outer corner I used the shade Mug cake and blended it through my crease. This shade was very pigmented and mixed well with Cuppa Tea. I also added a bit of Rosewood to the inner corner only and looked amazing. For my lid I added a bit of collection concealer in the shade 'Light' and dabbed Sparks fly in my outer corner and Grow old in my inner corner for a contrast look, it worked perfectly. The 2 shimmers that I used were amazing and were very pigmented, I sprayed my angled eye brush with water and dabbed more Grow old and Sparks fly to it which created more pigment and looked fab! Overall a 10/10 for this product!!!

  1. You're NOT a MUA? Wow, you are very talented and I'd love to see you give Youtube a go. Love the look you created and agree it's a perfect palette - has it all and then some and the packaging is beautiful too. I have both and still haven't used them because I haven't been able to get a good enough photo, lol
